Ticket tiers, early-bird pricing and add-ons on an event page you own, payment to your own account with nothing taken per ticket, capacity and waitlists, check-in from your phone, and every ticket in your books the day it sells. Built for workshops, trainings, circles and community events, not stadiums.
Whatever you choose, these are the things that decide whether the software carries the work or you do. The last column is the lowest ColibriOS plan that includes it; every plan contains the one before it.
| Look for | Why it matters | In ColibriOS |
|---|---|---|
| No fee per ticket, free or paid | A percentage on every seat punishes the events that go well; a flat monthly price does not. | Serve |
| Event pages on your own website and domain | A listing on a marketplace is their traffic, their brand and their email list. | Serve |
| Ticket tiers, early-bird, member prices and add-ons | Most small events are a mix; the tool should handle a free circle and a paid training the same way. | Serve |
| Capacity per event or per tier, with a waitlist | Sold out should mean sold out, and a cancellation should fill itself. | Gather |
| Door check-in and walk-ups from your phone | The list should live where you are standing, not on a laptop at home. | Gather |
| Deposits and balances for multi-day events | A retreat or a two-day training fills earlier with a deposit than with the full price up front. | Gather |
| Ticket buyers become contacts, with consent | The people at this event are the audience for the next one; they should be your list. | Serve |
| Bookkeeping and a tax-ready report | An event has real costs; knowing the margin per event is how you decide what to run again. | Serve |
Each event gets its own page on your website, on your domain, with the date, the place, the tiers and a Get tickets button. General admission, early-bird until a date, a members' price, a concession price, and add-ons like a workbook, a meal or a recording. Free tickets collect a name and an email; paid tickets take payment through your own Stripe or PayPal at the processor's standard rate, and ColibriOS adds nothing per ticket.
Set a capacity for the room or per tier. When the last ticket goes, the waitlist takes the next name and offers the seat automatically when someone cancels. On the night, open the attendee list on your phone and tick people in as they arrive; walk-ups go on the same list and pay at the door. Afterwards, the list shows who came and who did not.
The confirmation goes out in your words with an Add to calendar link. Reminders are scheduled from the event date and are yours to edit. Intake questions and waivers are answered after buying and sit on the person's record. Multi-day events take a deposit and a balance by a date, with the reminder written for you. Ticket holders get a portal with the schedule, the address and anything you attach.
Every ticket is income in your books the day it sells, with the event and the tier on it. Connect your bank and the venue hire, the printing and the catering land as expenses, categorized the way an accountant thinks. What the event made is a report you open. And everyone who bought a ticket is now a contact you can email about the next one, with their consent recorded.
None from ColibriOS, on free or paid tickets. Payment runs through your own Stripe or PayPal at the processor's standard rate, which is the only cost per sale. The subscription is the whole price. Eventbrite charges a service fee plus a payment fee on paid tickets; the two are compared row by row on the Eventbrite alternatives page.
Serve, at $116 a month, covers event pages with tiers, early-bird, add-ons and payment, reminders, intake forms and waivers, the attendee list, your website, the CRM, email and the books. Gather, at $297, adds capacity with waitlists, door check-in, deposits and balances, attendee portals and memberships. If you sell out rooms or run multi-day events, Gather is the one.
Yes. General admission, early-bird until a date you set, a members' price that only members see, a concession price, and add-ons at any tier. Each tier can have its own capacity.
On Gather, open the event on your phone and tick people in from the attendee list as they arrive; search by name, add a walk-up and take their payment on the spot. There is no scanner or printed ticket to manage; the list is the ticket.
Yes. Set the price to zero and the page collects a name and an email, sends the confirmation and reminders, and adds the person to your contacts with the event tag and their consent recorded. Nothing is charged and nothing is billed per registration.
You decide the refund from the attendee list and the record shows it; a refund through Stripe or PayPal follows their rules. If the event is full, the next person on the waitlist is offered the spot. Transfers are a note on the record and a name change on the list.
No. ColibriOS is general admission with capacity, tiers and a door list. If you sell numbered seats in a theatre or need scanners at a gate, dedicated ticketing software such as Tix or TicketSource does that and ColibriOS does not.
Yes. Export your attendee list from your current platform as a CSV and import it; people arrive with tags and can be emailed about the next event straight away, subject to the consent rules on the import screen.
